Thankfully, the Vice President survived.

It has come to my attention that some who claim to be liberals but are actually communists have recently expressed dismay that Dick Cheney, the current holder of the Office of Vice President of the United States of America, survived an apparent attack on his life in the Middle East.

This disgusts me. Anyone who calls themselves an American should be disgusted by an endorsement of an attack upon this Nation.

I too disagree with Dick Cheney's policies, especially with regard to the war in Iraq. However, he is still the properly elected Vice President of the United States, and his office deserves honor regardless of my opinions about the policies of the current office holder.

Make no mistake, an assassination of the Vice President would be an act of war against the United States, an act to which said Nation would and should respond in kind.

On behalf of the true liberals, I respect the Office of the Vice President of the United States.

Also on behalf of the true liberals, I condemn any attack of any kind against the national security of the United States.

I endorse the War on Terrorism. I endorse the effort to bring Al Qaeda, and other terrorist groups threatening the United States, to justice, by whatever means necessary.

Finally, I wish all the best for Dick Cheney and his family.
